A lace Paisley Tear depicting the 1697 Witch trial. Where 11yr old Christian Shaw instigated Scotland's last Witch Hunt which led to the execution of seven innocent people and the suicide of one. The same Christian Shaw, later in life, committed industrial espionage which led to the beginning of what is now known as the 'Paisley Thread Industry' and therefore the 'Paisley Pattern'
