Statement
I am Carole Gledhill, a Biology graduate from Paisley College of Technology after which I followed a career in teaching. Always a keen photographer, I am an active member of the Picturing Paisley group. Time spent looking through both microscope and camera lens has shaped the way I see the world and I find myself now focusing on the shape, form and beauty of plants through the photographic process of Cyanotype. Cyanotypes use light exposure and a simple chemical process enabling detailed blueprints of objects to be created. I like to work with the wet cyanotype process which allows for more creativity and a range of interesting marks and colourations to be produced.
